Hainzenberg

The settlement area extends from 540 m to 1,100 m above sea level. The municipality consists mainly of scattered settlements. The centre of the municipality is Dörfl, where you will find the village hall, primary school, nursery, children’s playground and fire station, as well as the Gerlossteinbahn bottom station. From the Gerlossteinbahn top station, beautiful hiking trails lead to Brandberg, Mayrhofen, Ramsau and towards Gerlos. For the experienced hiker, there are high-altitude hiking trails to the Gerlosstein-Hochfeld, Brandbergerjoch, into Schwarzachtal, Kolmhaus and many other possibilities. A via ferrata on the Gerlossteinwand also offers a challenge for experienced climbers. As a special attraction for the winter sports area, there is an approx. 7 km long floodlit natural toboggan run from the Gerlossteinbahn top station to the bottom station in Dörfl.
