News from the Zillertal Arena

Standing still is going backwards. For this reason, the Arena cable car companies are not resting on their laurels, but have set themselves ambitious goals for the next few years: long-awaited projects will be implemented in the coming months, which will not only represent milestones in the development of products and services in the Zillertal Arena, but will also have a positive impact on the entire region.

State-of-the-art sustainable snowmaking

In the summer of 2025, the Gerlos ski lift centre invested around 12 million euros in modernising its snowmaking system. This involved the construction of the new Ebenfeld 2 reservoir, the renovation of Ebenfeld 1, an energy-efficient pumping station and the renewal of around 7 km of pipelines – an important step towards greater snow reliability, efficiency and sustainability in the Zillertal Arena.
