Swimming fun is also guaranteed – the outdoor swimming pools, the Durlassboden reservoir and the new Spruce Lake provide a cool down on a hot summer’s day. The "Familiennest " Family Aktiv is a fun weekly programme for families with children aged between 5 and 11. Every day between Monday and Friday, our family carers look after our young families and provide lots of fun and variety.

An easy family-friendly route without any steep gradients worth mentioning. Start from Strass on the left bank of the Ziller and continue to Schlitters and along the wide valley floor through Fügen and Uderns to Kaltenbach. After passing under the Zillertal-Bundesstrasse, the well-marked route generally follows the Zillertalbahn railway line. The train company Zillertalbahn offers a bike transport. Bike rental is possible in the bigger train stations as well as in several privat bike rentals in the valley.

Our themed hiking trails offer lots of fun and variety and make every hiking holiday in the Zillertal Arena an experience for all ages. Learn to yodel like a pro on the Jodelwanderweg or let yourself be led down the wooden path in Zell. The animal nature trail has many interesting details in store for you about the animals that live in the Alps and on the panoramic trail you can really enjoy the wonderful mountain scenery. One special highlight is the Schmankerlweg, which introduces you to regional specialities along the way, which you can then sample as a reward for your efforts.

Arena Coaster

Fun, action and speed await you on the alpine roller coaster in Zell am Ziller. The 1,450 m of coaster fun starts at the Rosenalmbahn bottom station and is THE summer and winter attraction with several waves, steep curves and jumps.

Fun & spa for all ages is the philosophy at the new Kristallbad. Highlights such as the 50-metre long tube slide, the special children’s pool with various attractions and the natural water garden ensure lots of different swimming fun.

Minigolf

A very special adventure awaits all ages over 18 holes at “The Treasures of the Zillertal” mini golf course in the Zell am Ziller leisure park. Another 18-hole miniature golf course is located right next to the outdoor swimming pool in Krimml. At the Alpenwelt Resort in Königsleiten you can crown your mini golf champion on 10 different courses.
