Ski tours
The off-piste experience
Touring evening Gerlosstein
Fantastic slopes and untouched nature: scale the white peaks far from the hustle and bustle of the pistes. Enjoy the unforgettable moments when you are at the top, and make your own trail through the glittering fields of powder snow.
However, the meeting point for all ski tourers setting off from the Gerlossteinbahn bottom station is the Arbiskogel. Every Monday and Wednesday there is an evening for ski tourers, where all ages share their experiences in a cosy atmosphere. Every Monday and Wednesday there’s an evening at the Arbiskogel hut in the Gerlosstein ski area – a meeting place for all ski touring fans! Open until 11.00 p.m. – for group reservations please call +43 (0)5282 2419
On all other days the prepared slopes may not be used, there is DANGER TO LIFE due to the slopes being prepared with a cable winch! The cable car companies do not accept any liability! Be sure to follow these regulations to ensure safe skiing in the largest ski area in Zillertal!

Please note
We would like to make touring skiers, in particular those who ski down the slopes in the evening and at night, and also guests who stay at the inns and huts until late aware of this specific danger. We prepare the slopes using a cable winch in all areas of the Zillertal Arena (Zell, Gerlos, Königsleiten, Hochkrimml)!
Zell am Ziller valley run
The valley run in Zell is also closed outside the cable car operating hours, as there is a DANGER TO LIFE for ski tourers as the slopes are continuously prepared using a cable winch! Preparing the slopes is very complex & challenging, there are no alternative options! We appeal to all ski tourers to take this danger very seriously, especially on the valley run in the Zell am Ziller ski area. There is therefore a total ban on use outside the operating hours! This ban also applies to guests who are still at the mountain inns and huts after the slope has been closed.
