Klettersteig Gerlosstein

climbing wall/fixed rope route
climbing/sport climbing/rock climbing
A lot of passion, sweat, and effort have been put into the construction of the Gerlossteinwand Via Ferrata by the men of the Zell Mountain Rescue. Over 450 m of steel cable, 300 handholds, 230 rope clamps, 150 drill anchors, and much more have been used.

The Alpine via ferrata in the Zillertal is another tourist offering to bring our beautiful mountain world closer to nature-loving, active people of all ages during their summer vacation in the Zillertal. With the right equipment and proper handling, climbing a via ferrata is possible for everyone: secured to a continuous steel cable from the entrance to the exit, one climbs using artificial handholds and footholds combined with natural grips through the steep rock face. Via ferratas have become a lasting trend in mountain sports in the Alps, allowing hikers to experience the realm of verticality.
